Where did Skyline even come from? All of a sudden there was this massive banner hung for Comic-Con for a film very few have even heard of. Now it’s turned into the little film that could have some massive results despite the fact that it comes from Greg and Colin Strause, the guys behind the darkest film I’ve ever seen (lighting wise, not in terms of content), Alien vs. Predator: Requiem.

For the folks who couldn’t attend the film’s Comic-Con presentation, all we’ve got to see so far is that banner, the first still and some panel reports. As sad as this sounds, the summer is coming to an end and with a November 12th release, that means the Skyline marketing team will start to amp things up and they’re kicking of the post-SDCC campaign with the film’s website.

There’s really not that much to it, just a synopsis we’ve already read and that image we’ve already seen, but it’s worth taking a look at to see the creepy animation in the background. The film is about an alien invasion that involves a mass abduction. The ETs turn on some strange light, the people come to take a look and then they’re beamed up. It’s a relatively unexplored concept and makes for an excellent website background. Check it out here and don’t forget to keep an eye on the site because I’d like to bet a public trailer is on the way.
