A crew van for ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ was robbed of $30,000 of equipment on September 29. The New York Post reported on October 3 that while the robbery occurred while the cast, including Kelly Bensimon, Simon van Kempen, Alex McCord, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer, ate dinner and were filming in the Pierre Hotel ballroom. The cast was at a gala for the Emperor’s Brand Launch of Giorgio G cognac while thieves broke into the van outside.

“The van was parked right outside the Pierre near the ballroom entrance. Thieves broke the lock and stole a bunch of camera equipment and crew wallets,” the Post also reported. A Bravo rep confirmed the news, adding that two long lenses, tripods and crew bags were taken. The Post also said that a police report and the proper insurance claims have been filed.
