Mark Wahlberg will be portraying the lead role in the live action adaptation of ‘Ted’.. Rumors of the casting first began swirling several weeks ago, but the news, along with the revelation that ‘Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane will be voicing the title character, has just been confirmed.

Ted is a foul-mouth teddy bear, who comes to life after Wahlberg’s character wished for it as a child. Wahlberg’s character leads an otherwise normal life in Boston, except that Ted is a cursing, talking teddy bear. The movie is expected to receive an R-rating, and rival ‘Family Guy’s racy material. The film is set to start shooting after Wahlberg finishes the remake of the Icelandic crime thriller ‘Contraband’ with Kate Beckinsale.
