Relativity Media has picked up the domestic rights to director David Ellis’ as-of-yet titled 3D shark movie. The film, which was once called ‘Shark Night 3D’ and is now just referred to as ‘The Untitled David R. Ellis 3D Shark Thriller,’ is currently in post-production. It’s expected to receive a wide release sometime next year.

Ellis, who is known for directing such movies as ‘Final Destination 2,’ ‘The Final Destination’ and another animal thriller, ‘Snakes on a Plane,’ is working off a script written by Jesse Studenberg and Will Hayes. As of now, some of the actors attached to the project include Sara Paxton, Katharine McPhee, Dustin Milligan and Alyssa Diaz.

The film follows seven people who spend a weekend at a Louisiana lake house. Their vacation quickly turns for the worst when they discover sharks in the freshwater lake, which were put there as part of a sick plot from the locals.
