Directors McG and Breck Eisner have both presented their pitches to Universal for the upcoming movie based on the popular Hasbro game the Ouija Board, Slashfilm.com is reporting. Eisner met with executives at Platinum Dunes, Michael Bay’s horror production company that is producing the film, during the first week of December to discuss his ideas. McG, who has had hits with ‘Charlies Angels’ and ‘We Are Marshall,’ later met with the company on December 17 to unveil his plans.

While details of the movie haven’t yet been revealed, the script was written by Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who penned ‘Tron: Legacy’ and ‘Lost.’ But rumors are speculating that it will be more of an adventure movie, following the lead of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ instead of going down the suspected supernatural route.

Sylvain White, who helmedĀ ‘The Losers,’ and ‘Taken’ director Pierre Morel, previously pitched ideas to Universal and Platinum Dunes, but were both passed over. A director is expected to be revealed soon, however, as the movie is scheduled to be released on November 9, 2012.
