Academy Award contender Natalie Portman is denying rumors that she’s being considered for roles in the anticipated comic book adaptations ‘Superman: The Man of Steel’ and ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ Comingsoon.net is reporting. While comic books fans embraced her portrayal of Evey Hammond in the 2006 thriller adaptation of ‘V For Vendetta,’ the ‘Black Swan’ actress told Entertainment Weekly that she won’t appear in the Superman or Batman movies.

When asked about being offered a role in director Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, Portman said “No, I haven’t heard anything.” Of the third film in Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, she said “Oh, I don’t know anything about that.” Officials at Warner Bros., the studio releasing both films, haven’t officially commented yet on whether or not they have hired actresses for either movie.
