After resurrecting his rap career in 2009, Eminem is looking to return to movies after a nine-year absence, Collider.com is reporting. After winning an Academy Award for Best Original Song for his 2002 semi-autobiographical film ‘8 Mile,’ in which he made his acting debut, Eminem will reportedly next star in the thriller ‘Random Acts of Violence.’

David Von Ancken is on board to direct the movie, which follows follows an ex-con who was just released from prison. Even though he wants to avoid his former illegal ways, his old gang wants him back. The FBI is also hoping that he will go back to the gang, so they can attach a wire to him and bring down his former cohorts. The ex-con is hoping to play both sides against each other to bring his revenge against those on both sides of the law who sent him to prison.

Besides from ‘Random Acts of Violence,’ Eminem is also attached to “La Ronde’ adaptation ‘360.’ He’s also attached to the boxing drama ‘Southpaw.’
