HBO Films has announced its premiering its new original drama movie, ‘The Sunset Limited,’ featuring Tommy Lee Jones and Samuel L. Jackson, on Saturday, February 12 at 9 pm ET/PT. The movie is based on the play of the same name, which was penned by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Cromac McCarthy, and follows two strangers who are brought together by desperate circumstances.

‘The Sunset Limited,’ which is set in a New York tenement apartment, tells the story of the two strangers, whose lives are very different from each others. Jackson’s character is a deeply religious ex-con who stops the suicide attempt of an asocial college professor, played by Jones, who tried to throw himself into the path of The Sunset Limited train. The two then engage in a philosophical debate to defend their beliefs and try to convert the other to their ideals.

Jones directed and executive produced the film, which was also written by McCarthy. ‘The Sunset Limited’ was produced by Barbara A. hall, and is a Javelina Film Company production.
