Tim Allen is looking to re-team with ABC to star in a new comedy series, www.tvline.com is reporting. The series will follow Tim Fitzgerald, believed to be played by Allen, who is struggling with his masculinity. He’s trying to break free from the constant presence of women who are trying to dominate him. The still untitled show, which had the working titles ‘Man Up’ and ‘Last Days of Man’ before ABC abandoned them both, will be Allen’s first series since his hit sitcom ‘Home Improvement’ was canceled by the network in 1999.

The multi-camera comedy will be written by ’30 Rock’ producer Jack Burditt. He is also on board to executive produce the show, along with ‘Prison Break’s Marty Adelstein and ‘Night At The Museum’s Shawn Levy and Becky Clements. The sitcom is also being produced by 20th Century Fox, and is expected to premiere during ABC’s fall 2011 line-up.
