Mike O’Malley, who is currently known for portraying Burt Hummel on ‘Glee,’ is saying fans of the hit FOX musical series shouldn’t worry about the future of Kurt’s father, www.tvline.com is reporting. After it was announced that O’Malley has been cast in FOX’s new pilot ‘Family Album,’ fans of ‘Glee’ immediately expressed their concern over his potential departure from the show.

“I hope Burt Hummel doesn’t have another have another heart attack and die because as part of my deal, I’m guaranteed six episodes of ‘Glee’ next season,” O’Malley said at the Ace Eddie Awards in Beverly Hills on February 19th. Burt appeared on the same number of episodes of the hit series this season, and O’Malley expressed his happiness over staying on the series next year.

Burt will appear on the next two episodes of ‘Glee,’ starting on February 22nd. “My upcoming scenes are with Kurt, and it’s some really great stuff,” O’Malley said. “It’s the further stage of evolution of Burt needing to accept his son as who he is,” the actor added.
