The sounds of Soundgarden are back, and live, might we add. In 2010, Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron reunited after a 13-year absence and have upheld their promise to release their first-ever live track collection album, Live on I5, on March 22nd, 2011 via UMe.

Live on I5 refers to the Interstate 5, which runs up and down the West Coast. The compilation features fan favorites tracks like, “Spoonman,” “Rusty Cage,” “Burden In My Hand,” and “Black Hole Sun.”

And it only gets better. The album also includes two bonus tracks, which are covers of the Beatles tune, “Helter Skelter” and The Stooges’ “Search & Destroy.”

It might seem tough for a band to produce another album as successful as Telephantasm, but we wouldn’t put it past the legendary group, Soundgarden, to do so.
