In an effort to capture the essence of the Chevrolet brand, the car company has announced a new video competition for aspiring filmmakers. Chevy, in conjunction with MOFILM, a production company that helps up-and-coming filmmakers create videos for big companies and social causes, is encouraging new directors to create a short movie for the car company.

The winner will receive a trip for two to New York City with three night hotel accommodations, $8,000, access to all MOFILM parties and an exclusive screening of his or her film at the MOFILM awards. The second, third, fourth and fifth place winners will receive cash prizes.

MOFILM will accept submissions until April 4. More information about the competition can be found here. While your at it, check out last years winning entry.
