Apple recently unveiled the iPad 2 at a special event in San Francisco on March 2, 2011. It is 33 percent thinner and up to 15 percent light then then the previous IPad. It also has to new front and back HD cameras with FaceTime and HD video recording. It boasts a Dual-core A5 chip and with up to nine times the graphics performance, which means it’s faster the the previous IPad with an amazing ten hour battery life. During the event Apple also unveiled the new smart Cover for the IPad 2 it helps protect the IPad 2. The IPad 2 automatically detects when the smart cover is on and goes into sleep mode.

The IPad 2 will be coming March 11 to an Apple store near you  the prices will start at $499.

  1. If there is one device that can replace your ever reliable laptop, it is none other than iPad 2. Sure Motorola has come up with something like the Atrix but I still believe that in terms of portability and specs, Apple iPad 2 is still the smarter choice. I can’t wait for this device! Job well done Steve Jobs and the crew.
