Dreamworks has released their animated movie release schedule which goes through 2014, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Seven movies are lined up for the movie company. Here’s a quick rundown:

June 8, 2011–“Madagascar 3” will be released with principal voices Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and Sacha Baron Cohen reprising their animal roles.

Nov. 21, 2012–“Rise of the Guardians” will open in theaters. The movie, based on the upcoming books by William Joyce, will feature the voices of Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin, Isla Fisher and Jude Law.

March 1, 2013–“The Croods” will be released. The family comedy will star Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds and Catherine Keener.

June 7, 2013–“Turbo” will be released. The film, which doesn’t have a set cast yet, will be about a garden snail who dreams to be the fastest of his species.

November 8, 2013–“Me and My Shadow” will combine traditional and CGI animation.

March 21, 2014–“Mr. Peabody and Sherman”, starring Robert Downey, Jr., will be released.

June 20, 2014–“How to Train Your Dragon 2”, starring Jay Baruchel and Gerard Butler, will be released.

One great thing is that out of all seven movies, only two of them are sequels and only one is a cartoon adaptation. How refreshing. Even more refreshing is that one of the sequels–“How to Train Your Dragon 2” is a film that many fans have been impatiently waiting for due to how well-made the original is. What do you think about the film release schedule?
