Fans of AMC’s hit zombie series ‘The Walking Dead’ are still questioning what CDC scientist Jenner whispered into Rick’s ear at the end of season one. To play on their speculation, the show’s executive producer, Robert Kirkman, joked at the recent PaleyFest ’11 panel that Jenner whispered “I’ll miss you,” www.tvline.com is reporting.
While Kirkman appeared serious as he revealed the much-debated quote, he immediately laughed it off. He told TVLine that while he made the quote up in the moment, the show’s fans will receive a truthful answer during the second season. “That’s definitely something we’re going to be dealing with,” he said. “It’s not a tease that we want to go on too long, so we’ll definitely kind of wrap up in this season.”
Kirkman also said that he thinks fans are going to be shocked when they find out what Jenner really said. The popular opinion among fans is that Jenner told Rick that his wife is pregnant. Lead actor Andrew Lincoln, who portrays Rick, has even said that he already knows what the answer is, but he’s not telling anyone.
