Joe Kosinski and Steven Lisberger, the directors of “TRON: Legacy” and “TRON: The Original Classic Editon” met with fans at the West Hollywood Best Buy April 5.

While meeting the fans, the directors signed DVD and Blu-Ray copies of both “TRON” films. The films are now released in all stores and come with tons of bonus features and exclusive content.

The “TRON” movie series chronicles the saga of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), who becomes stuck in a computer program and has to participate in dangerous stunts and games in order to win his freedom. About 20 years later, his son, Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) finds himself in the computer world, aiming to save his father.

The original film was hailed as a cinematic achievement and considered one of the first CGI-live action films. However, despite the film’s cult status now, it initially didn’t make much at the box-office. (This is not the first time an ’80s film has become more popular after its initial release; another film that’s a cult hit now instead of when it was first released in the ’80s is “Blade Runner”, starring Harrison Ford.)

Are you excited to get the films on DVD or Blu-Ray? Were you one of the fans at the West Hollywood Best Buy? Leave your comments and/or “I was there” story in the comments below.
