Here’s IGN’s exclusive tour of the “Gears of War 3 Beta” map “Checkout” coming soon to Xbox 360.
Map Details: Checkout takes Gears into the urban landscape, bringing the fighting to a destroyed supermarket. This is a close quarters, shotgun oriented map. The aisles, pillars, and shopping goods block distant lines of sight and you’ll find yourself coming around a corner to see an enemy right in your face very often. All the left over shopping goods and food make for some cool debris during the battle, and you can even poke through holes in the shelving to get the jump on an enemy in a nearby aisle.
