The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF) has announced that it has added two more movies to its official lineup, including the world premiere of director Tony Kaye’s new drama, ‘Detachment,’ and a work-in-progress screening of director Stephen C. Mitchell’s musical biography, ‘Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon.’ David Kwok, the TFF’s Director of Programing, has said the festival is thrilled to include both films in its lineup, as “both complement the program well.”

‘Detachment,’ which stars such actors as Adrien Brody, James Caan, Marcia Gay Harden, Lucy Liu and Christina Hendricks, follows the lives of several high school teachers, administrators and students, and shows how their lives connect. The movie, which Kwok has described as adding to the distinct dramas the TFF is presenting, shows the education system through the eyes of substitute teacher Henry Barthes, as his world is altered when he’s placed in a failing public school.

‘Talihina Sky,’ which Kwok has described as capping off a strong year in music, shows the musical rise of Kings of Leon. The documentary shows that the group members never forget their strict Pentecostal upbringing and rough roots.
