Today’s the day we as a viewing public get to see more footage and behind-the-scenes video from “The Rise of the Planet of the Apes”! Monday, we all got to see the four-second clip, which was impressive; due to the quality of that teaser. I’m expecting to be blown away by what else they have in store.

Make sure to tune in here (below) or on the official Facebook fan page for “Avatar” at 2:30 p.m. Pacific/5:30 p.m. Eastern to take part in the live event, hosted by WETA Digital, the team behind “Avatar” and who are now responsible for making a realistic world of talking apes.

“Rise of the Planet of the Apes” is a retelling of the origins of the original series “Planet of the Apes”. In this story, scientists have begun experimenting on apes in order to learn more about their ability for speech. Through their experiments, an ape named Caesar (Andy Serkis) not only develops speech, but a plan for ape domination. Also starring James Franco, Frieda Pinto and Tom Felton, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes will be in theaters August 5, 2011.
