According to CinemaBlend and The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Zemeckis has signed on to produce the live-action film, “How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack”.

The film is based on a book by Chuck Sambuchino, which is similar in the vein of “The Zombie Survival Guide” by Max Brooks in that it “teaches” the reader how to live through a garden gnome attack. According to the official description of the book, “‘How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack’ is the only comprehensive survival guide that will help you prevent, prepare for, and ward off an imminent home invasion by the common garden gnome. Once thought of as harmless yard decorations, evidence is mounting that these smiling lawn statues are poised and ready to wreck havoc. The danger is real. And it’s here.”

No screenwriter has been attached to the project yet, and apparently there have been rumors of the film being an R-rated affair. However, though, the film is not being planned as an R-rated film.

Overall, this sounds like an interesting film. But this begs the question–how come “The Zombie Survival Guide” hasn’t been turned into a film yet? What do you think about the possibilities of this film? Sound off below.
