WETA just released some awesome concept art for the upcoming film “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” by director Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist, Get the Picture, Subterrain) and starring James Franco (Oz: The Great and Powerful, Your Highness), Andy Serkis (The Hobbit: Part 1, The Spider, Freezing Time) and Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire, Trishna).
Synopsis: An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
