The cast of the National Geographic channel’s reality show ‘Shark Men’ heads to the Malibu shore and discovers juvenile great white sharks in the water on the series’ second season premiere. In the episode, which airs on Sunday, April 17 at 10pm ET/PT, the cast discovers that the sharks inhabit the water 300 meters from where people swim and surf.

The ‘Shark Men’ cast has always been interested in juvenile sharks, as they want to learn more about their life cycle to help them better understand the species’ life. On the first day of the cast’s expedition in Malibu, they catch juvenile sharks while using their catch-and-release method.

The episode follows ‘Shark Men’s second premiere, ‘Murky Waters,’ which will air on April 17 at 8pm. The cast visits the Farallon Islands off the coast of San Francisco. The National Marine Sanctuary has given the cast the first-ever permit to hook a great white shark at the Farallones in order to research them. The catch doesn’t go as well as planned, and the cast must eventually release the shark.
