AOL Popeater has some interesting news concerning Lady Gaga’s possibly offensive music video for “Judas” via MTV. Apparently, according to the site, Gaga has agreed to premiere the music video during “American Idol”.

Interscope Records (which has partnered with “Idol” this year due to the head of Interscope, Jimmy Iovine, is acting as the contestants’ mentor) announced on their twitter page that the video will air on the May 2 episode of “Idol”.

In the music video, Gaga will portray Mary Magdalene and Norman Reedus (“The Boondock Saints”) will portray Judas. Here’s where it gets possibly offensive: Gaga’s Mary Magdalene is supposed to be in love with Judas.

Laurieann Gibson, the choreographer for this video, has stated that she’s a devout Christian who no longer sees anything wrong with the video.

“I will tell you now, first off, I’m Christian, and my career is evidence of God in my life,” Gibson said. “…I think most people are already thinking [about] Gaga and the blasphemy and they’re premeditating the approach, and I think they’ll be very shocked to to find out how huge and really groundbreaking the message is and how freeing the message is for all the right reasons. And it’s really going to shock the world.” She also said that the video is “…a phenomenal video: really powerful, really impactful.”
