Nicole Scherzinger has just released the music video for her track, “Right There,” featuring 50 Cent. The former Pussycat Doll’s new single will be available digitally on May 17th. Her debut solo album, “Killer Love”, will drop this summer via Interscope Records.
Let’s get to discussing this down-to-earth video that was directed by Paul Hunter. With all the glitz and the glam that comes with the music industry these days, you might be bewildered as to why we used such a non diva word. Nicole Scherzinger wears some fashionable clothing, but the viewer’s attention is drawn to the music of the track and the dancing elements that come along with it. Scherzinger glides through the streets of Los Angeles with a little help from the moving sidewalks underneath her. In a subdued colored area completely vacant of civilization, other than her back up dancers, you are entirely focused on Scherzinger’s vocals and her movement. The same applies to 50 cent. He is dropped in front of a sky background and brings us back to the days of old-school rap, where half-naked ladies do not consume the footage and delightfully leave rap at the forefront.
“Right There” is a soothing pop song that has more of a reggae feel. The overall setting of the video stays true to the melody of the track and when accompanied by Scherzinger’s flawless dance routines, the music video should stand as an example of the direction other artists should take. There is absolutely nothing wrong with leaving diamonds aside to focus on the music.
