In honor of the 117th birthday of famed dancer and choreographer Martha Graham, Google is featuring an animated Doodle on its homepage. The Doodle starts off with a dancer performing one of Graham’s signature moves on the right side of the page, who then morphs into another dancer. The dancers continue to perform the choreographer’s moves and morph until there are five dancers, who collectively spell out the Google logo.

The famous dancer, who was born in 1894, is known for creating a unique dance style in the 1920s and 1930s, PCMag is reporting. Graham created 181 dances in her lifetime after launching her own dance company in 1926.

Some of the dances included in the Doodle include the shrouded figure from ‘Lamentation,’ Graham’s 1930 solo. Another one of the dances is the bride role from her 1944 ballet ‘Appalachian Spring,’ which she considered to be her contribution to the war effort. The last dancer in the Doodle is the young woman from Graham’s 1935 ‘Frontier’ solo.

The Doodle was created by artist Ryan Woodward. He was inspired by Blakeley White-McGuire, one of the principal dancers from the Martha Graham Dance Company.
