“Bridesmaids” co-writer/co-producer Annie Mumolo has landed a plum ABC television deal, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

According to the article, the deal was finalized late Tuesday. Mumolo will develop a project for the studio that will be produced by the company that brought “Psych” to television, Tagline. Tagline also has another show that was purchased by ABC called “Man Up”.

Mumolo has recently become a hot-shot due to the wild success of “Bridesmaids”, which was also co-written by “Saturday Night Live” star Kristen Wiig. The film so impressed Hollywood by bringing in the target female audience that a comedy film has been purchased by Paramount. The film, which was sold by Mumolo and “Bridesmaids” star Melissa McCarthy, will be set up to be a film for McCarthy to headline, and Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn are set to produce.

Before becoming a hot-shot film writer, Mumolo was a member of the Los Angeles improv comedy troupe the Groundlings.
