Fergie is currently starring in a Robin Hood Foundation PSA, encouraging her fans to support the organization that helps 1.8 million New Yorkers who are living below the poverty line. The Black Eyed Peas singer is asking people to donate their time and/or money to the Foundation, which helps struggling New Yorkers at soup kitchens, homeless shelters, counseling centers and work-force training seminars.

The PSA comes after it was announced that the Black Eyed Peas will be performing at the Chase Presents “Concert 4 NYC” on June 9 in Central Park. It will be the band’s first free live concert at New York’s famous public park. Fergie said the group is thrilled to be performing at Central Park “to benefit Robin Hood’s efforts to help those living in poverty in New York City.” The PSA, as well as more information about “Concert 4 NYC,” can be found at the concert’s microsite.
