Everyone’s favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) now has his own poster for “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two”. The poster, which can be seen below this post, can also be seen on the official Facebook page for “Deathly Hallows”.

For those not in the know (how can you not be after seven films!?) Severus Snape is a teacher at Harry’s school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He’s seen as a mean, rude, disgusting, oily-haired cretin by Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and his friends Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint), but in actuality, he’s much more important to the battle against Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) due to his connections to Voldemort, Dumbledore, and Harry’s parents, particularly Harry’s mother.

“Deathly Hallows Part Two” chronicles the final part of the seventh book in which Harry and his friends find the rest of the Horcruxes and face the ultimate battle against Voldemort. The film is set to come out July 15.

What do you think about the poster? Has anyone ever noticed that Snape’s hair has come a long way since his “Rachel” haircut? Does anyone even remember the “Rachel”? I know some of you do! Some of you probably even had it. Anyways, sound off below.

  1. Er, actually, he taught Potions for most of the series, moving over to DADA only in Book 6.  Everyone’s favorite [i.e. not tongue-in-cheek] DADA professor is Remus Lupin.  Still hoping for a Remus, or perhaps Remus/Tonks, poster.
