There are many things that are going to be featured in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”, but I’m sure no one was expecting to see a cameo from GE in the film.

According to the official site, GE’s PET/CT technology will be featured in the film. There are two types of PET/CT products that are linked to on the official website, Optima PET/CT 560 and Discovery PET/CT models. You can see parts of the GE technology in the trailer, shown below.

“Rise of the Planet of the Apes” is a retelling of the 1970s film “Conquest of the Planet of the Apes”, in which an ape named Caesar leads a revolution of apes against the humans, starting with scientist Will Rodman (James Franco, “127 Hours”), who has experimented on the apes in order to create pharmaceutical drugs. Also starring Freida Pinto (“Slumdog Millionaire”), Tom Felton (“Harry Potter” series), John Lithgow (“Dexter”), David Hewlett (“Splice”), Brian Cox (“The Veteran”), and Andy Serkis (“Lord of the Rings” series, “King Kong”) as Caesar, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” will be in theaters August 5.

What do you think about GE technology being used in the film? Do you think it’ll add an air of credibility to the “experiments” shown in the film? Sound off below.
