California rock Thrice is getting ready to release their seventh studio album “Major/Minor”. The album will be released September 20, 2011. The band has also released their fourth behind-the-scenes video of their creative process on their website, THRICE.net.

The band began recording “Major/Minor” began May 2 in Santa Monica, CA at Red Bull Studios with Dave Schiffman, who mixed “Beggars” and engineered “Vheissu.”

“It’s definitely the most natural progression from record to record that we’ve had in a while. We did The Alchemy Index, which was totally different [from Vheissu],” said lead singer Dustin Kensrue. “Then Beggars was kind of the reaction against that. This kind of makes sense coming out of Beggars, but it’s definitely a different record.”

Thrice, a four-piece band, formed in 1998 in Irvine, California and made their mark on the modern rock and heavy music scenes with their 2001 full-length debut, “Identity Crisis”. Their next releases after “Identity Crisis” were “The Illusion of Safety” (2002) and “The Artist In The Ambulance” (2003). Their most recent release was “Vheissu” (2005).
