Okay, so according to CinemaBlend via Comic Book Movie, a new rumor has surfaced as to what exactly Bane will do in “The Dark Knight Rises”, however, the rumor is probably something many “Batman” fans have already suspected, seeing how Bane significantly injures Batman by breaking his back.

The rumor states that Bane will, in fact, be doing some back breaking to Batman, leaving him paralyzed. Even though WB has yet to comment as to the validity of this rumor, Comic Book Movie state that their source that has sent them this information is highly trustworthy and the rumor would not have even been considered if it had come from someone else.

Like I said, some might treat this as a serious spoiler while others might consider it an obvious plotpoint. If you’ve stayed this long to read this story, what do you think about the rumor? Do you even consider it a rumor? Sound off in the comments section.

  1. You can’t trust Comic Book Movie on anything. Both CinemaBlend and you should be ashamed for posting this when the rest of the internet found that out months ago.

  2. That was the plot of the Knightfall Batman comicbook  saga –in which I believe Bane was introduced, and which was a mega story line over the Batman titles several years back. if following that story line, it would involve some replacement Batman characters…dunno if the movie would be going that route or not.

  3. It would be real tough to break Batman’s back and still make a movie out of it.  I mean even in the fantasy comic book realm backs take a long time to heal

  5. This is utterly absurd. Seriously, you’re posting rumors from Comic Book Movie, a site NOTORIOUS for fake stories and fan fiction? Here’s a little challenge for you — go back and name ONE “scoop” from that site that turned out to be true. This is fanboy sites making up fake sources, like a few others out there, and tossing any and every rumor and idea at the wall to see what sticks. How can other sites possibly be repeating anything they see on CBM?? As another poster said, you should seriously be ASHAMED of yourselves for repeating it, as should CinemaBlend. Jesus Christ, this is lame.

  7. If you ask me, it sounds like a possibility.
Batman/Bruce Wayne has always been shown as overcoming great adversity that any normal person would say it is impossible.
Not to mention that that was Bane’s big signature move was picking batman up and laying him out over his bent knee.
All i’m saying it’s a definite possibility, it would also allude to the “Rises” part, that he rose again after being basically dead.
    Just my thoughts…

  8. I think if they do break his back..It would be a great way to bring robin in. Lets face it, I’m sure Bruce will still be looking for some1 to take over his mantle, and realistly if his back is broke he will never be the same batman again. so yes he is going to train some1 his skills. remember when we see bruce in BB and he is going to hunt down chill, clearly on da wrong path, then rachel shows him the way. this formula can be repeated with grayson as bruce shows him the way and teaching him ‘why do we fall’ . Now that to me would be going full circle….the son becomes the father.
we dont have to see grayson become robin, just maybe some assistance at the end of the film. what ye think?

  9. basically if it is true … if Bane does break his back then he would go to lazarus pit to get his back fixed because i have seen pictures and posts saying the lazarus pit is in the film.

  12. Load of bull**** this is. Break Batman’s back, Bane will not. Some Batman fan’s wanking fantasy, this is. Better than this, Christopher Nolan is.
