Paramount has released photos from the June 8 Los Angeles premiere of “Super 8” at the Regency Village Theater. Stars in attendance included the actors from the film–Kyle Chandler (who attended the event with his children Sawyer and Sydney), Elle Fanning, Riley Griffiths, Joel Courtney, Amanda Milchaka (who attended with her sister Aly), David Gallagher, Ryan Lee, Gabriel Basso, and Zach Mills. Producer Steven Spielberg (who attended with his wife, actress Kate Capshaw) and director J. J. Abrams (with wife, actress Katie McGrath) also attended, as well as Brad Grey, Bill Hader, Noah Emmerich, and Pete Wentz also attended. Below are some pictures from the event.

Today, June 9, is also the day that a lot of people have been able to score tickets to see the film in a sneak preview before it’s released nationwide tomorrow, June 10.

“Super 8” is set in the summer of 1979 and follows a group of kids who, while filming a movie with a Super 8 camera, mistakenly capture footage of a mysterious crash. As strange occurrences start happening in the town, it becomes apparent that the footage is part of the answer to the mysteries.

Are you ready to see the film in your local theater? If you’ve seen the sneak peek, what do you think about the film (spoiler-free, of course)? Sound off below.
