Elodie Yung is currently in talks to join the cast of the upcoming action sequel ‘G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. The French actress would appear as the G.I. Joe team member Jinx, a martial arts expert who has familial ties to a ninja clan.

‘Step Up 2’ director Jon Chu is slated to direct the action sequel based on the popular Hasbro toy franchise. Yung will join such returning ‘G.I. Joe’ actors as Channing Tatum, Ray Park and Lee Byung-hun, who will all be reprising their roles from the 2009 hit film ‘Rise of Cobra.’

Jinx will be one of several new characters introduced in ‘Cobra Strikes;’ another new character will be Roadblock, who will reportedly be played by Dwayne Johnson. Paramount, the studio that will be releasing the movie, has not yet publicly confirmed or denied whether or not Yung will appear in the ‘G.I. Joe’ sequel.
