There is no better way to celebrate a band’s album dropout week than with a giveaway from the band. First, the group is quenching our musical thirst with new tunes and second, they are giving us the opportunity to obtain these songs plus more merchandise for free. Now that is what we call a generous act. Thank you, Black Veil Brides, for showing us that the world of music can be a selfless place.

Before we announce the priceless contest, we think it is best to fill you in on the creatively and intriguingly titled band. Black Veil Brides consists of vocalist, Andrew Dennis, bassist and backing vocalist, Ashley Purdy, lead guitarist, Jake Pitts, guitarist and violinist, Jeremy Miles Ferguson and drummer Christian Coma. The group’s debut album, We Stitch These Wounds, dropped in 2010 and hit #1 on the Billboard Independent, #1 on Hot Topic Debut and #1 on Selling T-Shirt at Hotel Topic. Phew, that is a nice set of achievements for an initial album.

Their sophomore album, Set The World on Fire, will do just that based on prior accomplishments. Dropping on June 14th, Black Veil Brides’ album will effortlessly become a top-notch choice in your hard rock collection. So make a wise move and enter our contest, where you will be walking away with an award called the “Rebel Love Song” package. Isn’t package just a nice word to hear? We love having it thrown at us because it incorporates more than just a single gift and this context of the term is no different. The “Rebel Love Song” package includes a BVB We Set The World on Fire unisex t-shirt plus their new CD.

The double reward competition will require you ShockYa readers to write no more than 300 words telling us about the most disastrous party you have ever been to. We are going for an anecdote where the party went up in flames, not literally of course. Some possibilities include a wedding that maybe involved a few stumbles down the aisle or a birthday party that resulted in a cake mishap. You should keep them lighthearted. We don’t want that emotional baggage where the groom just never showed to the altar.

You have until June 26th to cause tears of laughter to stream down our faces. We should advise you to maybe keep the names of the subjects involved under wraps in case the embarrassment is too hard to publicly bare. Remember to post your tales in the comment section of this article and to e-mail your entry to freestuff@shockya.com. Just have fun with this one!

Also, be sure to check out the official Black Veil Brides store for more really cool swag!
