In one of the strangest pairings I have seen in quite sometime, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill’s extremely different acting career’s collide in ‘Moneyball’.  With a small preview clip released, and a brand new trailer on the way, a first look at Pitt as Oakland A’s manager Billy Beane, with Jonah Hill as his brainy sidekick, has been revealed – and I think this could actually work!

“The story of Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane’s successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players.”

For the unknown, Moneyball is a sports drama from director Bennett Miller, whose last venture dates back to his work on the 2005 movie Capote.  This is definitely a smart way to get back into the game with one of Hollywood’s sexiest men, and Superbad’s Jonah Hill, who has the ability to make just about anybody laugh.  Let’s just hope he doesn’t tone down the comedy for this  role.  After watching the preview via ET, Moneyball showcases Pitt on the verge of an emotional meltdown with a socially inept Hill just trying to make it through a meeting.

The baseball flick also features a cast line up of Robin Wright, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Chris Pratt, and Kathryn Morris.  Check out the clip below and tell us what you think.  Plus stay tuned for the official trailer that should be hitting the web any day now.
