Dichen Lachman has been cast as a regular on the upcoming second season of Syfy’s ‘Being Human,’ Variety is reporting. Lachman will portray the reclusive, centuries-old vampire Izumi, who cause trouble when she returns to Boston’s vampire millieu.

The second season of ‘Being Human,’ which co-stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath and Sam Huntington and is set to debut in 2012, will start production in Montreal in the coming months. The show will be executive produced by Jeremy Carver, Anna Fricke, Adam Kane Michael Prupas, Rob Pursey and Toby Whithouse.

The former ‘Dollhouse’ actress is most remembered for her portrayal of Sierra the cult sci-fi show. She will next be seen in a guest starring role in the soon-to-premiere Starz show ‘Torchwood: Miracle Day.’
