Entertainment Weekly is reporting that 21 Jump Street has wrapped up filming, according to Jonah Hill, one of the people instrumental behind the film. Hill, who co-wrote and is also starring in the film, has tweeted, “’21 Jump Street’ just officially wrapped. See you March 16, 2012.”

If that wasn’t enough, he also tweeted a picture of himself and Channing Tatum celebrating on set, which can be seen below this post.

Also, it appears that Johnny Depp was, indeed, lured back into the world of “21 Jump Street” and will be seen in some sort of a cameo; the exact role isn’t known. But in any case, it’s good to know he’ll be participating in the show that made him a household name once again.

For those unfamiliar with the ’80s show the film is based on, the plot revolves around several baby-faced cops who are used as undercover cops in a high school to root out drugs and crime. The film also stars Ellie Griggs, Johnny Simmons, Brie Larson, Dave Franco (brother of James Franco), Dakota Johnson and Rob Riggle.

What do you think of this news? Are you ready to see the film version of “21 Jump Street”? And just who do you think Depp will play in the film? Sound off with your opinions in the comments section below.
