According to Movieline, Christopher Walken, John Tuturro, and Edie Falco amongst other stars have been cast in the the comedy film, “Gods Behaving Badly.”

Walken will play Zeus, Tuturro will play Hades and Falco will play Artemis. Also cast in the film are Phylicia Rashad as Demeter and Sharon Stone as Aphrodite.

The film is based on the book by Marie Phillips in which ancient Greek gods are sent to Earth to live as humans. They cross paths with a young couple Kate (Alicia Silverstone) and Neil (Ebon Moss-Bachrach). When the interject themselves into these people’s lives, they not only run the risk of ruining them, but also the course of other events in the world.

Where as the book has the gods and goddesses living in a London house working low-rent jobs, the film has moved the characters to a New York brownstone. Production on the film begins in mid-July in New York.

I’m not sure what to expect from this movie. As Movieline pointed out, this film has one of the biggest smattering of ’90s stars that Hollywood’s seen in a while. From a ’90s nostalgic view alone, this film will be entertaining. But will it be good? Only time can tell. Give your opinions on the movie–and its cast–in the comments section below.
