“Transformers: Dark of the Moon” may be the end of the “Transformers” series for director Michael Bay, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not over period. “Transformers” producer Don Murphy has stated on his forums that he believes there’s going to be another series:

What happens next? Certainly not a reboot. We haven’t lost the Transformers. They didn’t grow up or become expensive like Toby Maguire. I don’t know what happens next. I’m pretty sure there will be a second trilogy. I am pretty sure it will kick ass. And I am pretty sure some of you will hate it because it wasn’t all bots.

I think it’s safe to say that there will be another series; it’s practically inevitable seeing how lucrative the franchise is. But his statement is certaintly weird; why bring Toby Maguire into this? When has Maguire ever done something bad to “Transformers”? And yes, some people do dislike the franchise because the films never have just the robots, the reason behind the dislike is because the humans are just not that interesting most of the time. People want to see Transformers fight.

In any case, what do you think of this news? Are you ready to see another “Transformers” film? And who would you like to direct it if not Bay? I think it would be interesting to see a J.J. Abrams “Transformers” film or perhaps a “Transformers” film directed by Robert Rodriguez. Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
