Mike Vogel has been cast as the male lead Dean in ABC’s upcoming fall drama ‘Pan Am,’ Deadline is reporting. The series, which is being produced by Sony TV, follows a group of pilots and flight attendants in the 1960s as they work at the iconic Pan Am Airlines.
Dean, who is described as being charismatic and confident, has dreamed of being a pilot since he was young. He achieved his goal of traveling the world and leading a crew as he was picked to be the captain of the Majestic, the new Pan Am clipper.
Vogel, who was last seen on television as trauma doctor Chris Deleoon on CBS’ short-lived drama ‘Miami Medical’ last year, replaces Jonah Lotan, who portrayed Dean in the ‘Pan Am’ pilot. He joins other series regulars Christina Ricci, Kelli Garner and Margot Robbie.
