Critically acclaimed Indian director S.V. Krishna Reddy will be making his American directorial debut with the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Divorce Invitation,’ starring Jamie Lynn Sigler, Jonathan Bennett and Nadia Bjorlin. The movie will be released by RR Movie Makers, an Indian entertainment company that is launching a U.S. based film financing division that will generate up to three English-language projects a year.

‘Divorce Invitation,’ which will begin filming in August 2011 in Los Angeles, follows Mike Christian, played by Bennett, a happily married man. By chance, Mike runs into his high school sweetheart, Alex, portrayed by Bjorlin, and is determined to make her his true soul mate. However, the iron-clad pre-nuptial agreement he signed with his wife, played by Sigler, won’t let him out of the marriage.

Reddy, who also contributed to ‘Divorce Invitation’s story, said “Many of the reputed Indian directors’ lifelong dreams have been to make the crossover into Hollywood. I am grateful for the opportunity.”
