Michele Bachmann has known to make a lot of gaffes concerning America’s history (some of which you can read about right here), Her quotes about President Obama turning the U.S. into a nation of slaves, sex clinics, and re-education camps for the youth are disturbing to say the least, and her latest gaffe concerning “The King” Elvis Presley will have Graceland fanatics feverish.

The Huffington Post is reporting that Bachmann said to her followers during a stop in South Carolina Tuesday that she was celebrating Presley’s birthday. “Before we get started, let’s all say ‘Happy Birthday’ to Elvis Presley today,” she said. “We played you a little bit of promise land when we pulled up. You can’t do better than Elvis Presley.” Elvis fans already know this, but Presley’s actual birthday is January 8, 1935.

Now, in all honesty, this is not the biggest gaffe in the history of Bachmann’s talking points, but just overall, Bachmann’s mistakes are getting a bit ridiculous as far as having the movers and shakers in politics as well as many voters take her seriously as a candidate. Before talking about Elvis Presley, the least she could do is make sure she knew which date Tuesday is. It’s okay not to know something, but she could have just simply looked up what dates Elvis born and died on.
