Interactive and transmedia director Blair Erickson will make his feature directorial debut on the horror film ‘The Banshee Chapter,’ which begins principal photography this week in New Mexico. Erickson is known for serving as the creative Director of Omnicom’s high-tech interactive agency Millions of Us. Some of his projects include writing and directing an online alternate reality live-action thriller based on the ‘Terminator’ franchise, as well as creating 3-D virtual world experiences for Sony’s new Playstation Home.

‘The Banshee Chapter’ focuses on a young, female journalist, played by Katia Winter, who follows the trail of a missing friend, portrayed by Michael McMillian. Her friend had been experimenting with mind-altering chemicals developed in secret government drug tests. Ted Levin plays a rogue counter-culture novelist with a substance abuse problem. He leads the journalist into the mystery of the dangerous chemicals. The film is based on real documents, actual test subject testimony and uncovered secrets about CIA-run programs.

Zachary Quinto’s production company, Before The Door Pictures (BTD) and Sunchaser Entertainment have partnered to release ‘The Banshee Chapter,’ which Erickson also wrote the screenplay for. Christian Arnold-Beutel, Sunchaser’s Stephanie Riggs and BTD’s Corey Moosa are producing the movie. Quinto, Neal Dodson and Sean Akers are all executive producing the film.
