‘True Blood’ actress Lindsay Pulsipher has replaced Hilary Duff in the role of Bonnie in the upcoming remake ‘The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,’ Coming Soon is reporting. Producer Tonya S. Holly of Cypress Moon Studios, the production company that’s releasing the film, has said “We’re trilled to welcome (Lindsay) Pulsipher as Bonnie Parker in ‘the Story of Bonnie and Clyde. (Lindsay) will undoubtedly bring many layers to this critical role.”

Holly, who wrote the script and will also be directing ‘The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,’ will begin filming the movie later this year in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and likely Missouri. Duff left the film after announcing her pregnancy last month because she wouldn’t be available to begin shooting until June 2012. Cypress Moon wanted to continue the production on its current schedule, so it decided to recast the actress.
