The official trailer for the film ‘Freak Dance’ has been released by Upright Citizens Brigade. The dance musical parody movie, which was written by Matt Besser and directed by Besser and Neil Mahoney, follows Cocolonia as she must escape her roots and learn to street dance. She seeks the help of Funky Bunch, who’s determined to become the best dancer ever.
Cocolonia and Funky Bunch must save the Fantaseez community center from the Building Department and the evil gang banger dancers. The two only have each other to save their home.
‘Freak Dance’ stars Michael Cassady, Megan Heyn, Amy Poehler, Besser, Tim Meadows and Horatio Sanz. The film is set to have its premiere at the Austin Film Festival, which will take place between October 21 and 23, 2011.
