Everyone’s still reeling from the news of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs’ death from his battle with pancreatic cancer. Due to his recent passing, Bluewater Productions, along with Paperless Publishing, have published a special edition biography comic book, “Steve Jobs: Founder of Apple,” as an e-book, available Friday for the NOOK and Kindle.

The standard print issue was announced last June and will still be released on its original scheduled release in three weeks–October 27. Aside from the special edition e-book version of the biography, Bluewater has decided to further honor Jobs’ memory by pledging to donate a portion of the issue’s proceeds to the American Cancer Society.

“Job’s vision and business acumen revolutionized the world,” said writer CW Cooke. “Between he and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, you would be hard pressed to find someone with greater influence over how we communicate, interact and do business over the last 30 years.”

The 32-page book is pencilled by Chris Schmidt with cover art by DC Comics artist Joe Phillips. The book will be available comic books shops, bookstores and online stores such as Amazon (which, according to the press release, has the wrong release date for the standard edition. The correct release date is the date listed above in this post, October 27).
