The “Glee” Give A Note campaign is aiming to keep music programs in schools, and by buying Season Two of “Glee” and voting on videos, you can help the campaign give back.

Firstly, $1 for every “Glee: Season 2” DVD and Blu-ray sold will go toward the $1 million guaranteed commitment to at-risk school music programs nationwide. Also, the contest portion of the campaign, which has schools competing for a grand prize of $50,000, has now finished its video submission phase in September and people can now vote on their favorite videos.

Throughout September, schools were encouraged to make creative videos about why they deserve the $50,000 grant. By going to GleeGiveANote.com, viewers can vote on their favorite video, meaning you decide the finalists in the contest. You can vote once per day until voting ends November 8, 2011 at midnight. The schools with the most votes will move on to the final selection phase, made by the National Association for Music Education. The three grand prize winners will receive $50,000 each. Ten first prize-winning schools will win $25,000 each and 60 second prize-winning schools will receive $10,000 each.

You can learn more about the contest and campaign at the website linked above. The second season of “Glee” is available in stores now, so buy it and support the nation’s schools’ music programs!
