Haunted Carter Farms, billed as the “Original haunted corn field maze in America…the place where corn and nightmares grow”, will be open this Friday. The theme of this year’s maze is based on “The Dead Matter,” the Midnight Syndicate Film’s 2010 dark fantasy horror film.

The maze, which spans five acres, features elements from “The Dead Matter: Cemetery Gates” CD as well as the cover art from the DVD. Also, the designers of the maze developed their own additional scenes from expounding on the themes found in the film. Original props and music from the film will also be a part of the scary attraction. You can see an image of the maze below.

“The Dead Matter” is now available in Germany on both Blu-Ray and DVD through Euro Video. The DVD and Blu-ray include both English and German dubs as well as 5.1 mix, and is currently available at Amazon.de.

Haunted Carter Farms, located in Princeton, Iowa, is one of the oldest haunted cornfield mazes in AmericaTickets at the door are $12.
