Hell on Wheels is a post-Civil War story that focuses on Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount), an ex-Confederate soldier whose wife is murdered by Union military men. Desperate for revenge, Cullen winds up heading west and shacking up in a town that services the first transcontinental railroad.
