The cast for the upcoming Paramyth Films biopic ‘A Green Story,’ which was written and directed by the independent production company’s Nika Agiashvili, has been announced. Ed O’Ross has been cast to portray Van Vlahakis, and Shannon Elizabeth, Annabella Sciorra, George Finn and Alessandra Toressani have all been confirmed to appear as the supporting cast.

‘A Green Story’ follows Van, a Greek immigrant who arrived in America who only $22 in his pocket. He eventually founded the multi-million dollar company Earth Friendly Products.

O’Ross plays the modern day Van, who is misdiagnosed with cancer and is given two months to live. During this time, he reflects on his early life as an immigrant during the 1950’s, which will be portrayed by Finn. Van decides to push himself to close one final business deal that will concertize the company’s success, even if he isn’t around to see it.

‘A Green Story’ will begin production on November 3, 2011, and principal photography will take place in Los Angeles, Chicago and Crete, Greece. Agiashvilli will produce the film, alongside John Edward Lee, Chadwick Struck and Deanna Plascencia.

The biopic marks Agiashvilli’s second feature, as he previously wrote and directed ‘5 Nights in Hollywood.’ Lee served as a producer on the filmmaker’s 2009 drama as well.
